Pre-K Program (Aspen, Sequoia, Maple Classroom)
Our Pre-K program builds readiness for kindergarten and life. At this stage, children refine independence, think critically, and express themselves with confidence. Learning becomes purposeful — guided by curiosity, grounded in faith, and strengthened by community.
What We Focus On
- Independence & Responsibility: Students handle daily routines — serving snacks, tidying up, and organizing their materials — learning accountability, pride, and care for their space.
- Language & Literacy: Children tell stories, journal thoughts, and recall plot details. They write their full names, master upper- and lowercase letters, and communicate in clear, complete sentences.
- Math & Science: Numbers and patterns are discovered through hands-on work — counting objects, sorting, and simple experiments. Children explore living vs. non-living things, weather, anatomy, and God’s design in creation.
- Social & Emotional Growth: Through group projects and guided play, children learn empathy, problem-solving, and teamwork — the roots of strong relationships and self-control.
Our Distinctive Touch
- Faith Integration: Faith is lived, not memorized. Students pray, reflect, and keep personal Bible journals. Weekly verses and stories teach who God and Jesus are and how His Word applies to daily life. The fruits of the Spirit — love, joy, patience, kindness — shape every classroom moment.
Reggio Emilia Approach: Inquiry drives instruction. Teachers follow each child’s curiosity — whether studying soil, sound, or light — using all five senses to explore, test, and create. Every environment is intentional: soft lighting, nature elements, and classical music foster calm focus and wonder. Reggio builds thinkers, not repeaters — children who see God’s creation as something to question, touch, and understand deeply.
