Infant Program (Magnolia – Birch Classroom)

Our infant program blends developmental science with heartfelt care. Every sound, touch, and interaction is intentional — helping infants begin to see, move, and connect with the world around them. The goal is to build secure attachments, nurture sensory awareness, and support each milestone with purpose.

What We Focus On

  • Visual & Sensory Learning: Since infants first see only in high contrast, teachers use black-and-white visuals, soft lighting, and varied textures to strengthen focus and recognition.
  • Language & Connection: Every action is narrated — feeding, diapering, play — to build trust and early literacy. Consistent tone and rhythm lay the groundwork for communication.
  • Motor Skills & Confidence: Guided exercises like tummy time, rolling, and grasping develop coordination, balance, and strength — the first steps toward independence.
  • Cognitive Awareness: Simple games like stacking, hiding objects, and rhythmic clapping introduce pattern, cause-and-effect, and repetition — the roots of problem-solving.
  • Emotional Growth: Teachers model expression and empathy, helping babies understand feelings through smiles, laughter, and gentle social play.

Our Distinctive Touch

Reggio Emilia Influence: Classrooms are designed as “third teachers” — beautiful, natural spaces that encourage exploration. Every texture, sound, and interaction invites curiosity and honors each child’s potential.

Faith Integration: Even at this age, faith is experienced through love in action — calm worship music, gentle prayer, and nurturing routines that reflect grace and peace.

Assessment and Portfolios:
Teachers conduct 3 assessments a year to help develop goals for each individual child. Students progress is documented through portfolios that contain dated samples of each childs work, photos, and art pieces. Portfolios are sent home at the end of the school year to be shared and treasured for a lifetime.
